We all have (hopefully) great boss stories and (sadly) bad boss stories. It almost always comes down to some level of emotional intelligence, present or lacking as the deciding factor.

On the bright side, most folks don’t wake up each morning looking to be a bad boss. So there is plenty of room for Emotional Intelligence growth and development, if they are open to it.
Most get up, work hard, and do what they consider to be their best. The critical missing piece is their lack of self-awareness, and their blind spots.
It’s almost always the blind spots.
